Nyananso’s work experience includes working as CAD manager in a water Infrastructure Development Company, Business Unit Manager in a water utility Public-Private-Partnership management contract, Country Manager for Partners for Water and Sanitation (DFID-UK partnership programme), and as Contract Manager for the Federal Government of Nigeria’s Regulatory Agency for Public-Private Partnership. Nyananso is an associate with The Partnering Initiative (TPI), and holds a B.Eng, an MSc and an MBA.

Nyananso’s proudest achievement: The company, Weircapacity. From an idea on paper, to brick and mortar, to international brand, and with a focus on improving human and institutional capacity in water, environment and infrastructure, Weircapacity, like most start-ups, went through a steep learning curve to consistently achieve organisational goals, while maintaining its core values.

Maurice Diamond

CP3P Tutor and Coach, IPATS Ltd and Training Bytesize

London, UK

Delivering PPP, leadership and management training. Maurice has significant international PPP global PPP experience. He was the global commercial director for Crown Agents, technical lead of the Complex Procurement Group at PA Consulting and undertook business change at PwC.

Maurice's proudest achievement: Seeing students successfully pass professional exams and improve their project, procurement and management skills.

Andre Kruger

I am the CEO and Head Trainer of PPP Training Online. We have, since 2017, trained + 500 infrastructure practitioners using the CP3P qualification. I am an ex-banker with good experience of public sector credit risk, including the structuring and risk evaluation of PPP transactions. I have experience across a wide range of sectors including power, water, transport, health, education, and affordable housing.

PPPTO also provide PPP consulting services and have worked with the World Bank, IFC, USAID, UK Prosperity Fund, UK China Infrastructure Alliance, SIDA, Danish Embassy, and the European Investment Bank.

Andre’s proudest achievement: Experiencing practitioners progressing from being apprehensive about using PPP procurement methodologies to becoming more self-confident about their own capabilities. Many candidates are now able to positively express themselves and to conceptualise, structure, develop and procure bankable transactions.

Abhaya Agarwal

Retired Partner for Strategy and Transactions, EY

Mr. Abhaya Krishna Agarwal is a Retired Partner at Ernst & Young LLP, India. Abhaya has over 30 years of diversified consulting experience in Finance/PPP and infrastructure advisory sector.

He has been instrumental in developing number of marquee infrastructure projects across many countries in sectors including water supply and sanitation, health, education, real estate, transport, and industrial parks. He is one of the leading experts on infrastructure and PPP in India and other emerging markets with extensive experience in project finance, strategy, policy framework, project conceptualization, procurement, capacity building and transaction structuring.

Besides India, he has extensively worked in more than 20 countries of Africa, ASEAN and Middle East. He has advised several IFIs on sector programs and transactions. He has led project teams which have conceptualized some of the largest infrastructure programs in India and East Asia such as Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor and infrastructure corridors for Philippines and Indonesia. Further, he has developed PPP frameworks of Bhutan, Philippines, Somalia and India.

Abhaya has also been an active participant on panels discussions, lectures and workshops relating to water and public infrastructure development. Some of the recent conferences include Indian Infrastructure Conference on Desalination; Indian Infrastructure Conference on Public Asset Monetisation; and UNESCAP Regional Workshop on PPP & Capital Market Financing for Sustainable Infrastructure Development.

Abhaya's proudest achievements:

  • Successfully closed Habibganj Railway Station redevelopment transaction, India’s first station redevelopment project on PPP
  • Successfully closed India’s first integrated SWM project on PPP mode at Sonipat & Panipat cluster in Haryana 
  • Successfully closed Vizhinjam port project, India’s first greenfield port on PPP

Duane Passman

Director and Owner at Percipio Consulting Ltd

Duane, an Astrophysicist by profession, has an extensive background in the NHS, where he has been involved in significant investment programmes and projects for more than 35 years. He has managed substantial funding from public sources and Public Finance Initiatives (PFI). Throughout his career, he has played a key role in overseeing well over £2 billion worth of investments in the NHS. Recently, he has founded his own company, specializing in offering advice, guidance, and support throughout the capital investment lifecycle.

Furthermore, Duane has completed the Cabinet Office's Major Project Leadership Academy programme and has been serving as a Gateway Reviewer for High-Risk major programmes and projects since 2003. He is also recognized as an accredited Business Case Practitioner.

 

Duane's awards and Nominations - 

  • Primary author of “Commissioning a Healthcare Facility” (Part of the 1994 NHS Capital Investment Manual).  Also contributed to the “Project Organisation” section
  • Chapter 2 “Planning Healthcare Environments” in the textbook “Improving Healthcare through Built Environment Infrastructure”. (Eds: Kagioglou and Tzortzopoulos, Publ:  Wiley-Blackwell 2010).

Duane's proudest achievement includes securing the approval for the 3Ts Hospital Redevelopment in Brighton – the largest publicly funded hospital schemes in a generation – seeing it through a complex decanting phase and well into main construction:  a process running from 2008-2020!  The project is replacing the oldest building in the NHS still providing acute care.
