PRINCE2® White Paper Wins Award in Washington DC

CPIC Conference Presents Innovation Award to Paper on Use of PRINCE2® for Federal Government IT Projects

Richard Tucker CPIC Award Recipient 2010Richard Tucker, Director of Client Services at ICOR Partners, a division of Acquisition Solutions, was one of the year's honorees receiving the 2010 Capital Planning & Investment Control (CPIC) Award at the 3rd Annual Federal CPIC Conference held March 23-24 at the Capital Hilton, Washington, D.C. The annual award is given in 16 distinct categories of achievement set by the federal CPIC community in an open call for award nominations. As the recipient of the 2010 CPIC Award for Innovative Approaches, Richard was recognized for introducing the British best practice, known as PRINCE2, to the U.S. Government over the past year. Before accepting the award, Richard was quoted as saying that the acceptance in the U.S. of PRINCE2 practices is proof positive that "centralized project management has no political boundaries." Richard also presented a White Paper on using PRINCE2 to manage federal IT projects to 200 Federal CPIC professionals attending the conference.
