Change Management Qualification Overview
APMG-International accredit a network of training organizations including their trainers and course materials, to be able to offer Change Management courses and examinations.
The exam formats are as follows:
Foundation Exam
- 1 hour multiple choice
- Closed book
- Four sections, total of 60 questions
- 15 questions per section
- Candidate must score 30 out of 60 to pass.
Practitioner Exam
- 3 hour OTE format examination
- Restricted open book - manual and candidate handbook only
- Four questions of 20 marks each
- Candidate must score 40 out of 80 to pass.
How to Take the Exams
There are two main routes towards obtaining the Change Management qualification - you can sit the exam at the end of a training course provided by an Accredited Training Organization, or study privately and then book the exam at one of our Public Exam locations.

The 2nd Edition of the Change Management manual, Making Sense of Change Management by Esther Cameron and Mike Green was published on the 3rd January 2009. The changes between the first and second edition have no effect on the Change Management syllabus, exam or sample paper.

Making Sense of Change Management - £27
Making Sense of Change Management examines managing and leading change in an organization. It covers key scenarios, including business restructure, mergers and acquisitions, cultural change and IT-based process change.
The practitioner exam syllabus is supplemented by material from the People Alchemy website, an online repository for information on all management disciplines.Material used for the practitioner qualification is provided to candidates, who also get one years free membership to the site when they enroll for the qualification.
